Our Cause

The Cody Kehler It's in the Memories Society is dedicated to helping vulnerable children and families throughout Delta. Over the years and thanks to our community's support, our charity has been able to initiate "breakfast programs" for children at multiple elementary schools in need of a meal, sponsor disadvantaged but deserving families over the holiday season, provide funds to enroll vulnerable children in various after school activities, create the FC North Delta Cody Kehler Memorial Bursary, and contribute to the Cody Kehler Be The Change Scholorship at Clayton Heights Secondary (as well as donate to many other fantastic causes.)

Our Charity Background

Cody was tragically killed in a car accident on Thanksgiving Day of 2014, his grade 12 year. He had a heart of gold and would stop at nothing to make sure others were happy. In his memory, we have been raising funds annually to help vulnerable children and families in Delta. The biggest contributor to the funds we raise comes from our annual Charity Golf Classic.

Cody Kehler: To know him was to love him
Cody grew up and lived in North Delta until grade 9 before moving to Cloverdale. He attended Richardson Elementary School and received the Don Brown All Around Student Award in Grade 7.
He was very active and a lover of most sports. He received his black belt for tae-kwon-do at the age of 9, and played soccer, basketball, ball hockey and volleyball. Cody went on to excel in rugby during his senior years in high school, recognized by BC Rugby and Canada West, with scholarships and UBC in his sights.

If you knew him, you'll always remember what a light he was. Cody was kind, compassionate, silly, truly empathetic and full of love.
